Key Account Manager- Iberia (f/m/d)

General overview:

As Key Account Manager – Iberia for our client you will manage the sales process for new business opportunities within the hospital market to meet sales goals within the defined territory. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Iberia you’ll engage in networking and lead generation activities to grow new business sales pipelines in the hospital space.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a sales pipeline for your assigned accounts
  • Implement account strategies to grow local sales pipeline
  • Provide weekly updates to management as well as maintain continuous updates in salesforce (CRM tool)
  • Prepare and present impactful company presentations and business solutions in professional manner
  • Establish credibility with leading transplant teams. Develop strong relationships with KOL´s
  • Build and maintain relationships with key client decision makers and industry partners through consistent engagement and onsite meetings; and educate prospective clients, agencies and partners on the company’s products through meetings, sales presentations and engagement of subject matter experts

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biosciences or business
  • Several years demonstrated sales success in medical device / biotech / pharma
  • Sales experience should include the entire sales process including prospecting, cold calling, contributing to RFP management and closing under both long and short sales cycles
  • Several years’ experience selling to hospital pharmacy and establishing relationship with pharmacist
  • Able to navigate complex selling situations

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate level knowledge in a disease state and professional field (transplantation, surgery, hepathology)
  • Proven experience in establishing and maintaining connections with diverse set of senior contacts in the transplant field and hospital pharmacists
  • Ability to search, analyze and present clinical/scientific information
  • Must be self-motivated with a lot of drive and able to perform tasks and achieve goals with minimum supervision and direction
  • Must be willing to travel 40 %, including frequent day trips and overnight travel
  • Excellent Spanish speaker (applicants who are not native Spanish are welcome to apply)
  • Sufficient communication skills in English language, Portuguese is a plus
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and salesforce.com
  • The successful candidate will display the following qualities: competent, friendly, self-confident, able to form strong customer relationships,highly ethical.
  • Must know the Spanish/Iberian hospital environment well!
